Recording of a performance at Garage Noord in Amsterdam. In this performance we work with a self-made instrument, something I’ve been developing more actively over the past months.
"Cheroney Pelupessy maakte een dans- en filmvoorstelling over de ontastbare band tussen moeder en dochter"
The research space of twenty years Danstheater Don’t Hit Mama (2000 – 2020), by Nita Liem and Bart Deuss.
"This offering is a reflection on my practice, through revisiting archetypes from folklore, the lens of changemakers and how my Indonesian upbringing has influenced my work."
A letter to Indonesian dancers Agus Margiyanto, Sandhidea Cahyo Narpati, and Boby Ari Setiawan, and a video response from Sandhidea to the letter.
Each month, the makers will share their progress on this platform. Through videos, texts, images, and conversations, this platform will continue to grow along with their developing work.

changeMakers is supported by a panel of seven representatives from the Indo-Indonesian community. The makers are guided by this panel and together they shape the exhibition.
During changeMakers, two context researchers work in parallel with the makers to give the exhibition a socio-cultural and dance-historical perspective.
