Ciro Monoarfa Goudsmit

Ciro Monoarfa Goudsmit is an artist with a fascination for vibrations. His background lies in club and street dancing, but he soon began to explore the impact of sound on the body as a choreographic tool. His work focuses on discovering a personal rhythm, increasing sensitivity to drum patterns and body vibrations.

This exploration stems from his desire to understand the inner body in relation to the physical world around us. He investigates how identity can be redefined by embracing mixedness as an artistic approach. In the theater, he translates his research into a compelling physical and musical landscape, inviting the audience to intensify their emotions and become speakers themselves.

“I try to understand my ancestors and find their stories in my own muscles.”
